Eligibility & cost
Who can register, what it costs, and the workshop requirement.
Who can join? Do I need to be a student?
Anyone 16 or older. Students, career switchers and working engineers are all welcome. Under-18s need a guardian consent form, which we email after acceptance.

Registration
Team size, edits after submitting, decisions and the waitlist.
How many people per team?
Teams have two to four members, including the team lead. The event has space for 36 teams, with a maximum of four members per team.

Yes, while registration is open: the lead can edit the application from the status page. After decisions go out, email the organizers.

Decision timing will be announced by the organizers. The status page shows the same result the moment it is recorded.

The form closes on the deadline. A waitlist opens in its place, and waitlisted teams are called in order if accepted teams drop out.

Building & tools
What you must build with, what you may reuse, and when the clock starts.
Do we have to use Kiro and Quick?
Yes. Teams are expected to use Kiro and Quick agentic workflows to build, test, and deploy a functional prototype during the sprint.

No. Planning, wireframes and research are fine. Committed application code must be written during the event window.

Open-source libraries and public boilerplate, yes. Your own pre-existing product, no.

Yes. Kiro, Quick, Claude, Copilot and other AI tools are fair game. Declare anything unusual in your description so judges are not guessing.

Submission & judging
Exactly what to submit, how it is scored, and who owns it after.
What exactly do we submit?
Project name, a one-line pitch, which service you built with, 1-5 repository URLs, a live demo URL, 3-6 screenshots, and a 100-1500 character description. A video is optional and judges appreciate it.

Five criteria, each scored 1-10 by every judge: innovation, technical execution, use of Kiro and Quick, impact, and presentation. Final score is the mean across judges. The rubric is published before the event and does not change during it.

The form goes read-only against the server clock, and whatever was last saved is what gets judged. Save early and often. The form autosaves for you.

You do. You grant the organizers and sponsors a licence to show your submission in event write-ups and recaps. Nothing is assigned, and no sponsor gets rights to your code.
